EIB-Richtungsentscheidung: Wollen Europas Finanzminister eine "Grüne Bank"?

Der französische EU-Kommissarskandidat Thierry Breton wird heute Nachmittag vor den Mitgliedern des Europäischen Parlaments erscheinen, um die Bedenken wegen angeblicher Interessenkonflikte seiner früheren Führung des globalen IT-Unternehmens Atos auszuräumen.

Heute u.a. mit dabei: EU-Auditoren fordern die Kommission auf, freiwilligen Verlagerungsmechanismus zu überdenken, Deutsches Parlament wählt AfD-Vorsitzenden ab; und EU sei Problemlöser Italiens.

An extraordinary joint AFET/SEDE/DROI meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday 21 November 2019 in Brussels (room PHS 4B1) from 11:30 - 13:00.

Gewerkschaften und Industrie machen Front gegen die Pläne von Bundeswirtschaftsminister Peter Altmaier für die Windenergie. Besonders problematisch ist dabei der Sicherheitsabstand von einem Kilometer zu Siedlungen.

Das Migrationsressort der neuen EU-Kommission erhält einen neuen Namen. Das vom griechischen Kommissar geleitete Themenfeld soll in Zukunft "Förderung unserer europäischen Lebensweise" heißen. Der ursprüngliche Name hatte für heftige Kritik gesorgt.

Die Entschlossenheit der französischen Regierung, auf eine Rentenreform hinzuarbeiten, scheint angesichts der zunehmenden Protestaktionen von Gewerkschaften, Studenten, Lehrern und der Bewegung der "Gelbwesten" nicht zu schwanken.
