La pinacothèque d'Art moderne à Munich présente jusqu'au 12 mars 2023 l'exposition "Departure" dédiée au peintre et dessinateur allemand du XXe siècle Max Beckmann. Les tableaux exposés explorent le thème du voyage, très présent dans la vie de l'artiste qui a été marquée par le traumatisme de la guerre et de l'exil, mais aussi par le besoin de liberté et l'envie de voyager.

Jusqu'au 26 mars 2023, l'Hôtel de la Marine accueille les œuvres de la Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca'd'Oro de Venise, pendant sa restauration. On y retrouve plus de 70 œuvres de grands artistes de la Renaissance sur l'histoire de Venise.

Le musée d'art moderne et contemporain de la ville de Rovereto présente jusqu'au 19 mars 2023 l'exposition "Giotto et le XXe siècle", au sein de laquelle sont présentées plusieurs œuvres d'artistes modernes et contemporains, inspirées par l'art de Giotto, le maître qui a révolutionné la peinture médiévale.

"Travelling Images", la première exposition personnelle de Małgorzata Mirga-Tas, actuellement la principale représentante de l'art contemporain rom, se déroule jusqu'au 5 mars 2023 au Centre culturel international de Cracovie. Elle comprend une grande sélection d'œuvres réalisées par l'artiste dans les années 2017-2022, ainsi que de nouvelles œuvres abordant, entre autres, l'histoire de la communauté rom de Nowa Huta et la mémoire rom.

La Royal Ulster Academy de Belfast, réunissant un grand nombre d'artistes visuels opérant en Irlande du Nord, organise jusqu'au 3 janvier 2023 son exposition annuelle au Musée d'Ulster. À cette occasion, des œuvres d'artistes reconnus et émergents du monde entier, ainsi que des travaux des académiciens de la RUA seront présentées au public.

Dans le cadre de son 10e anniversaire, le musée du Louvre-Lens a initié un projet pionnier dans le monde muséal : confier à un groupe de jeunes adultes en situation de réinsertion professionnelle et sociale, l'entière réalisation d'une exposition sur la place de l'art dans l'intime qui est présentée jusqu'au 27 mars 2023.

Dazu zählt, die Umsetzung der internationalen Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung bis 2030 voranzubringen.  Wegen der angespannten Weltlage ist dies kein leichtes Unterfangen. Wichtig ist jetzt, den Prozess gut aufzugleisen, um Unterstützung zu gewinnen sowie öffentliche Aufmerksamkeit für und Vertrauen in ihn zu  schaffen.

Over the past two decades, attacks on healthcare in situations of armed conflict have been reported at alarming levels. By collecting data on these attacks, states can better understand the scale and scope of the problem, protect health services and workers, and prevent future attacks.

On December 1st, IPI with the support of the Government of Spain, cohosted an event on “Strengthening Data to Protect Healthcare in Conflict Zones: Toward the Implementation of UN Commitments.” The policy forum provided an opportunity to discuss IPI’s new issue brief entitled “Strengthening Data to Protect Healthcare in Conflict Zones” co-authored by Susannah Sirkin and Rohini Haar, including their recommendations on ways to better use existing data-collection methods and mechanisms to prevent and protect against attacks on medical care in armed conflict.

The forum brought together representatives of UN agencies, humanitarian organizations, member states, and civil society organizations to discuss some of the policy and technical challenges related to collecting robust data on attacks against healthcare in armed conflict. It also reflected on ways to strengthen data collection and reporting with the goal of enhancing prevention and protection. “Acknowledging and reporting the violence is a first and necessary step to preventing violence,” said Susannah Sirkin, co-author of the report. Panelists also emphasized the importance of publishing data as an accountability measure. “There is no strong evidence that the publication of data detailing attacks on health care facilities results in increased security risks,” explained Leonard Rubenstein, Chair of the Safeguarding Health in Conflict Coalition.

Speakers further considered opportunities to address policy and technical challenges and examined how improved data collection may build on existing data processes, including the World Health Organization’s Surveillance System for Attacks on Healthcare and the work of the Safeguarding Health and Conflict Coalition and Insecurity Insight.
