La Cour de répression des infractions économiques et du terrorisme (CRIET) a examiné une affaire d'escroquerie en ligne ce lundi 27 octobre 2025. La prévenue est accusée d'avoir soutiré la somme de 20 millions de francs CFA à sa victime, qui est une connaissance à elle.

Une chrétienne devant la CRIET pour des faits présumés d'escroquerie en ligne. Elle est accusée d'avoir soutiré une somme de 20 millions de francs CFA à l'une de ses connaissances.
Selon les faits, la plaignante et l'accusée s'étaient retrouvées au cimetière PK14 le 1er novembre 2024, à l'occasion de la fête de Toussaint. Après cette rencontre, la plaignante a été intégrée dans un groupe de prière que l'accusée dirige. Profitant de ce creuset, elle a commencé à soutirer de l'argent à la victime, prétextant financer des prières pour éviter la mort de sa fille.
De peur de perdre son enfant, la victime a effectué plusieurs transferts au profit de l'accusée qui prétendait agir au nom d'un prêtre que la victime n'a jamais rencontré. Le montant total des transferts effectués est estimé à 20 millions de francs CFA. En plus du numéraire, la prévenue aurait également reçu des téléphones portables, un matelas et divers appareils électroménagers.
A la barre, elle a nié une partie des faits. Le dossier est renvoyé au 19 janvier 2026.
