Today, the Council approved the joint text on the EU’s general budget for 2025. The joint text was agreed in negotiations with the European Parliament on 16 November 2024. Total commitments are set at €192.768,6 million and the total payments at €149.615,7 million, excluding appropriations foreseen for special instruments outside the multiannual financial framework for 2021-2027 (MFF).

Der Rat hat heute eine Verordnung über den ersten Rahmen auf EU-Ebene für die Zertifizierung von CO₂-Entnahmen, kohlenstoffspeichernder Landbewirtschaftung und der CO₂-Speicherung in Produkten förmlich angenommen.

Der Rat billigt eine Verordnung über die Einstellung der Plattform zur Online-Streitbeilegung.

Der Rat gibt endgültig grünes Licht für die Verordnung über das Verbot von Zwangsarbeit.

Der Rat hat heute eine neue Verordnung über Rating-Tätigkeiten in den Bereichen Umwelt, Soziales und Governance (ESG) angenommen. Die neuen Vorschriften zielen darauf ab, Rating-Tätigkeiten in der EU kohärenter, transparenter und vergleichbarer zu gestalten, um das Vertrauen der Anleger in nachhaltige Finanzprodukte zu stärken.

Der Rat hat heute neue Vorschriften angenommen, mit denen die Verordnung und die Richtlinie über europäische Marktinfrastrukturen überarbeitet werden. Ziel der neuen Vorschriften ist es, die EU-Clearinglandschaft attraktiver und widerstandsfähiger zu machen, die offene strategische Autonomie der EU zu unterstützen und die Finanzstabilität der EU zu wahren.

The Council today approved conclusions on the PESCO Strategic Review, and a recommendation assessing the progress made by the 26 participating member states to fulfil the more binding commitments undertaken in the framework of PESCO.
