Séance plénière : Une proposition de la Commission européenne pour la création d’un document européen de voyage accélérant le retour des ressortissants non européens en situation irrégulière dans un État membre de l’UE sans passeport ou carte d’identité valide a été adoptée par le Parlement jeudi. L’un des objectifs des députés était de renforcer les paramètres de sécurité et les mesures de protection technique du document, afin de favoriser sa reconnaissance par les pays tiers.

Séance plénière : Alors que le trafic d’espèces sauvages est devenu le quatrième plus grand marché noir et menace l’existence de nombreuses espèces, l’UE doit prendre des mesures visant à réduire la demande, selon une résolution adoptée ce jeudi. Le PE précise ses priorités pour la 17e conférence des parties à la Convention sur le commerce international des espèces sauvages menacées d’extinction, qui se tiendra à Johannesburg du 24 septembre au 5 octobre. L’UE y siégera pour la première fois en tant que partie.

Plenáris ülés : Az EP csütörtökön elfogadta a Bizottság javaslatát, hogy a nem szabályosan és papírok nélkül itt tartózkodó nem uniós állampolgárok visszaküldésének felgyorsítására egységes úti okmányok készüljenek. A képviselők egyik legfontosabb célja az volt, hogy az okmányok biztonságának megerősítésével a nem EU-s országok könnyebben elfogadják azokat. A döntést a Miniszterek Tanácsának is jóvá kell hagynia.

Plenartagung : Der Vorschlag der EU-Kommission, ein einheitliches Reisedokument für jene Nicht-EU Bürger einzuführen, die über keinen gültigen Pass oder Ausweis verfügen, wurde vom Parlament am Donnerstag mit breiter Mehrheit angenommen. Das Reisedokument soll die Rückführung und Rückannahme jener Drittstaatenangehörigen beschleunigen, die sich irregulär in der EU aufhalten. Die Abgeordneten bestanden auf strengen Sicherheitsmerkmalen, damit das Dokument von Drittländern vorbehaltlos anerkannt werden kann.

Plenartagung : In geheimer Abstimmung sprach sich das Europäische Parlament am Donnerstag mit 394 Ja-Stimmen gegen 161 Nein-Stimmen und 83 Enthaltungen für die Ernennung Sir Julian Kings zum EU-Kommissar für die Sicherheitsunion aus. Nach dem Brexit-bedingten Rücktritt Jonathan Hills ist King von der Regierung des Vereinigten Königreichs als Kandidat nominiert worden.

Plenary sessions : An EU Commission proposal for a standard European travel document to speed up the return of non-EU nationals staying irregularly in EU member states without valid passports or identity cards was approved by Parliament on Thursday. A key aim for MEPs has been to strengthen the form’s security features and technical safeguards, so as to promote its acceptance by third countries. To enter into force, the new regulation still needs to be formally approved by the Council of Ministers.
