European Council President Charles Michel and the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Ralph Gonsalves announced that the next EU-CELAC Summit will take place in Brussels on 17-18 July 2023.

During his visit to Kyiv, European Council President Charles Michel addressed Verkhovna Rada, the parliament of Ukraine. “There can be no free Europe without a free Ukraine”, he said.

In his debrief to the European Parliament on the European Council meeting in December, President Michel stressed that the EU will continue to support Ukraine for as long as it takes, including through military support. He also discussed EU-US relations and how to drive forward an ambitious EU industry policy.

The press briefing ahead of the Foreign Affairs Council will take place on Friday, 20 January 2023 at 14.00.

The Council adopted a decision which updates the recovery and resilience plan of Luxembourg. The Council’s positive assessment of Luxembourg’s plan remains unchanged.
