António Costa, az Európai Tanács elnöke meghívta a vezetőket az Európai Tanács tagjainak 2026. január 22-én Brüsszelben tartandó nem hivatalos ülésére, amelyen meg fogják vitatni a transzatlanti kapcsolatok közelmúltbeli fejleményeit és ezeknek az Európai Unióra gyakorolt hatásait, valamint koordinációt folytatnak a további lépéseket illetően.

A Tanács a mai napon hivatalosan is elfogadta a Jordániának nyújtandó, további 500 millió EUR összegű makroszintű pénzügyi támogatásról szóló határozatot.
