Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the European Union on the alignment of certain third countries with Council Decision (CFSP) 2023/193 of 30 January 2023 amending Decision 2014/145/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in respect of actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine

The Council adopted conclusions on the revised EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes. A total of 16 countries have either not engaged in a constructive dialogue with the EU on tax governance or have failed to deliver on their commitments to implement the necessary reforms.

The Council today adopted a decision authorising member states to ratify, in the interest of the EU, the Second Additional Protocol to the Convention on Cybercrime (Budapest Convention).

President Charles Michel presented the conclusions adopted by the members of the European Council following their special meeting on 9 February 2023.

On 9 February 2023, the European Council adopted conclusions on Ukraine, economy, migration, Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, and earthquake in Türkiye and Syria

Upon his arrival for the Special European Council meeting of 9 February 2023, President Charles Michel highlighted the main topics that will be discussed and underlined that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will address the EU leaders.

President Charles Michel invited the members of the European Council to their Special meeting. Discussions will focus on Ukraine/Russia, the economy and migration.

The EU and the Republic of Moldova issued a joint press statement following their 7th Association Council meeting.

The Swedish presidency has decided to activate the integrated political crisis response (IPCR) to coordinate EU support measures, in close collaboration with the European Commission.

One week after Turkey's earthquake left more than 30,000 people dead, hope of survival has been replaced by public anger. For two decades, Turkey's government has failed to enforce its own construction requirements, resulting in catastrophic building collapses.
