Magyar rendőrök indultak Észak-Macedóniába és Szerbiába, hogy segítséget nyújtsanak a határőrizeti feladatok ellátásában – közölte az Országos Rendőr-főkapitányság (ORFK).

A közleményben kiemelték: a magyar rendőrség elkötelezett abban, hogy megakadályozza az illegális bevándorlók bejutását Magyarországra, az Európai Unió területére, ezért felajánlotta támogatását a nyugat-balkáni országoknak.

A Szerbiába induló 46. és az Észak-Macedóniába induló 58. magyar rendőri kontingens tagjait Balázs László, az ORFK határrendészeti főosztályának vezetője búcsúztatta Budapesten, a Készenléti Rendőrség központi objektumában.

A magyar rendőrök fő feladatként járőrszolgálatot látnak el a jogellenes határátlépések megelőzésére és felderítésére, továbbá közreműködnek az embercsempészek és az illegális migránsok előállításában. Nemcsak a határ közvetlen közelében teljesítenek szolgálatot, hanem az ország belsejében is. A kontingens terepjárókkal, éjjellátó készülékekkel és hőkamerákkal segíti az érintett határszakaszok védelmét.

Az észak-macedón kontingensben szolgálatot teljesítő harminc és a szerb kontingensben szolgálatot teljesítő húsz rendőr magyar szolgálati felszereléssel látja el feladatait, intézkedési jogosultságukat a fogadó ország rendvédelmi szervének irányítása, felügyelete mellett gyakorolják.
