The EU issued a declaration on the first anniversary of the demonstrations of 11 and 12 July 2021 in Cuba, expressing deep concern about the disproportionate prison sentences handed down to those involved in the events.

In his message to the African Union event "Boma of Africa", European Council President Charles Michel referred to global food security, stressed the importance of partnering to unlock the huge food production potential in Africa and reaffirmed that Europe is ready to be a reliable and rock-solid partner for Africa.
