Am 8. Mai 2021 haben die Mitglieder des Europäischen Rates die Erklärung von Porto zu sozialen Angelegenheiten angenommen.

Upon his arrival for the second day of the informal meeting of the European Council members, President Charles Michel outlined the three topics linked to the COVID-19 pandemic discussed during their working dinner.

The Council has adopted new rules, in agreement with the European Parliament and the Commission, to ensure transparent and ethical interest representation.

Nach einer Überprüfung im Rahmen der Empfehlung zur schrittweisen Aufhebung der vorübergehenden Beschränkung nicht unbedingt notwendiger Reisen in die EU hat der Rat die Liste der Länder, für die die Reisebeschränkungen aufgehoben werden sollten, aktualisiert und Israel darin aufgenommen.

Der Rat hat Beschlüsse über die Teilnahme Kanadas, Norwegens und der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika am Projekt „Militärische Mobilität“ im Rahmen der Ständigen Strukturierten Zusammenarbeit (SSZ) angenommen.
