Der Rat nimmt neue Vorschriften über neue genomische Techniken (NGT) förmlich an, womit – bei strengen Sicherheitsmaßnahmen – Innovationen, widerstandsfähige Kulturpflanzen und nachhaltige Lebensmittelsysteme unterstützt werden.

Mit neuen EU-weiten Vorschriften wird ein harmonisierter strafrechtlicher Rahmen zur Korruptionsprävention und ‑bekämpfung geschaffen.

Der Rat hat den Rahmen für restriktive Maßnahmen gegen diejenigen, die für Handlungen verantwortlich sind, die die Souveränität und Unabhängigkeit der Republik Moldau destabilisieren, untergraben oder bedrohen, um ein weiteres Jahr bis zum 29. April 2027 verlängert.

Der Rat nimmt neue Vorschriften zur Verbesserung der Qualität, Verfügbarkeit und Rückverfolgbarkeit von forstlichem Vermehrungsgut (FVG) an, mit denen Innovation und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit im Saatgutsektor der EU gefördert werden.
