The Council today adopted a decision on the conclusion of a free trade agreement (FTA) between the EU and New Zealand. On the EU side, this decision clears the path for the entry into force of the agreement.

At the press conference held at the end of the 19th EU-Canada summit in St John's, European Council President highlighted the main topics discussed with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

The Council approved the figures today, in preparation for the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28), which will take place from 30 November to 12 December in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
