The Council has approved conclusions on improving access to ‘glocal’ opportunities for young people living in rural and remote areas.

Today, the Council approved the joint text on the EU’s general budget for 2025. The joint text was agreed in negotiations with the European Parliament on 16 November 2024. Total commitments are set at €192.768,6 million and the total payments at €149.615,7 million, excluding appropriations foreseen for special instruments outside the multiannual financial framework for 2021-2027 (MFF).

A Tanács a mai napon hivatalosan elfogadta a szén-dioxid-eltávolításnak, a karbongazdálkodásnak és a termékekben való szén-dioxid-tárolás tanúsításának első uniós szintű keretrendszeréről szóló rendeletet.

A Tanács jóváhagyta az online vitarendezési platform megszüntetéséről szóló rendeletet.

A Tanács véglegesen jóváhagyta a kényszermunka tilalmáról szóló rendeletet.

A Tanács a mai napon elfogadta a környezeti, társadalmi és irányítási, vagyis az ESG-minősítési tevékenységekről szóló új rendeletet. Az új szabályok célja, hogy – a fenntartható pénzügyi termékek iránti befektetői bizalom növelése érdekében – a minősítési tevékenységek következetesebbé, átláthatóbbá és összehasonlíthatóbbá váljanak az EU-ban.

A Tanács a mai napon új szabályokat fogadott el, amelyek az európai piaci infrastruktúra-rendelet és -irányelv (EMIR) felülvizsgálatára irányulnak. Az új szabályok célja, hogy vonzóbbá és reziliensebbé tegyék az Unióban az elszámolási környezetet, támogassák az EU nyitott stratégiai autonómiáját, valamint megőrizzék az EU pénzügyi stabilitását.

The Council today approved conclusions on the PESCO Strategic Review, and a recommendation assessing the progress made by the 26 participating member states to fulfil the more binding commitments undertaken in the framework of PESCO.

The Council widened the scope of the EU framework for restrictive measures in view of Iran’s military support of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and armed groups and entities in the Middle-East and the Red Sea region, and adopted restrictive measures against one individuals and four entities responsible for the transfer of Iran’s missile and drone transfers to Russia.
