A Tripartite Social Summit took place via video link. Participants discussed the contribution of the social partners to relaunching growth and employment in the aftermath of COVID-19.

President Charles Michel highlighted the topics discussed by the members of the European Council in their video conference, especially the new MFF and the recovery plan. He also thanked Prime Minister Plenković for the Croatian Presidency.

Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the European Union on the alignment of certain third countries with Council Decision (CFSP) 2020/651 of 14 May 2020 amending Decision (CFSP) 2019/797 concerning restrictive measures against cyber-attacks threatening the Union or its member states.

President Charles Michel presented the main results of the video conference of the Eastern Partnership leaders. They discussed long-term objectives and how to increase resilience in the areas of democracy, society, economy, energy, security, cyber, media, environment, health, and human security. They agreed to meet in person for the next Eastern Partnership summit in March 2021, in Brussels.

On 19 June, the members of the European Council will meet via video conference. EU leaders will discuss the issue of a recovery fund to respond to the COVID-19 crisis and a new EU long term budget.

The Council decided to renew the sanctions introduced in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by the Russian Federation until 23 June 2021.

The Council today approved conclusions on enhancing financial investigations to fight serious and organised crime.

The Council approved conclusions on security and defence in the context of the EU Global Strategy.

The EU is working to facilitate the completion of the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) by speeding up permit-granting procedures.

EU ambassadors agreed the Council's position on the proposed extension of deadlines linked to the European Citizens' Initiative.

President Charles Michel sent an invitation letter to the EU leaders ahead of their meeting on 19 June 2020. The central theme of the meeting will be the Multiannual Financial Framework and the Recovery Plan.
