In his speech at the Malmö International Forum on Holocaust and Remembrance, European Council President Charles Michel recalled that the EU was conceived and built as a project of solidarity, cooperation, and tolerance.

The EU issued a declaration reiterating its strong support for ASEAN’s efforts in finding a peaceful solution to the current crisis in Myanmar/Burma and calling on Myanmar to engage constructively with the ASEAN Special Envoy to implement fully and completely the ASEAN Five Point Consensus.
