European Council

The Council adopted conclusions on export credits. Export credits policy is crucial in supporting the competitiveness of EU exporters in global trade, hence improving the EU’s strategic autonomy, and has a key role to play in supporting the fight against climate change.

The Council considers that further clarifying and simplifying the VAT rules for businesses would strengthen the European Single Market and help European businesses to compete in domestic and global markets, as well as help fight against tax fraud.
