Egy amerikai katonai laboratórium a múlt héten véletlenül élő lépfene-baktériumot (antraxot) küldött szét kilenc magánlaboratóriumba az Egyesült Államokban, de a lakosságot nem fenyegeti veszély - jelentette be az amerikai védelmi minisztérium szerdán.

Négy embernél elővigyázatosságból antibakteriális kezelést kezdtek, illetve védőoltást kaptak.

Egy küldemény az amerikai hadsereg egyik dél-koreai támaszpontjára került. Az első közlések szerint ez sem jelentett kockázatot az alkalmazottakra, ám egy Szöulban később kiadott amerikai közlemény szerint 22 katonát ott is megelőző kezelésnek vetettek alá.
