On 6 November, the SEDE Committee will hold, jointly with the FEMM Committee, a public hearing on the 25th Anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on "Women, Peace and Security" as part of the EP Gender Equality week. This hearing will be an opportunity to take stock on the progress and challenges in the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security agenda. ....
The first part of the hearing will focus on Ukraine, with Ukrainian speakers sharing their own experience following Russia's full-scale war of aggression.

‎Le Conseil constitutionnel du Cameroun a proclamé, ce lundi 27 octobre 2025 au Palais des Congrès de Yaoundé, les résultats officiels de l'élection présidentielle tenue le 12 octobre dernier.

Selon les chiffres rendus publics par le président du Conseil constitutionnel, Clément Atangana, le président sortant Paul Biya est déclaré vainqueur du scrutin avec 53,66% des voix.

‎La cérémonie de proclamation s'est déroulée en présence de nombreuses personnalités du pays dont des membres du gouvernement, autorités administratives et judiciaires, diplomates, responsables de partis politiques, directeurs généraux et acteurs de la société civile.

‎Les résultats ont été annoncés région par région avant la proclamation du résultat global confirmant la victoire du président sortant. L'événement a été retransmis en direct sur la page Facebook du média CRTV (Cameroon Radio Television).

‎Âgé de 92 ans, Paul Biya obtient ainsi un huitième mandat à la tête du Cameroun. Il dirige le pays sans discontinuer depuis 1982.

La chorale Chœur Notre Dame des Pauvres du Centre spirituel Notre Dame des Pauvres de l'archidiocèse de Ouagadougou a procédé à la dédicace de son premier album. À travers cette œuvre musicale, la chorale souhaite toucher les cœurs et les amener à Jésus. En un mot, elle veut utiliser la musique comme moyen d'évangélisation. La dédicace a eu lieu le dimanche 26 octobre 2025 à Ouagadougou.

Intitulé « Mon Seigneur et mon Dieu », l'album est composé de 15 titres, à savoir : « Notre Dame des Pauvres », « Si vous gardez mes commandements », « Doux et humble de cœur », « Je cherche ton visage », « À qui irions-nous Seigneur ? », « Qui t'a condamné ?, « J'ai soif », « N'aie pas peur », « Je me tiens à la porte », « Où est Abel ? », « Gethsémanie », « Pour vous qui suis-je ? », « Père, touche le Burkina », « Elle est mère de Dieu » et » Alpha, Omega ».

La majorité des titres ont été écrits par l'abbé Blaise Bicaba, figure spirituelle bien connue dans la communauté catholique. La chorale Chœur Notre Dame des Pauvres a travaillé sur cet album pendant huit ans.

La chorale Chœur Notre Dame des Pauvres a prévu d'organiser un concert le 31 octobre 2025, de 16 h à 23 h, au stade municipal de Ouagadougou

« Nous abordons plusieurs thématiques dans cette œuvre musicale. Il y a l'évangélisation, des cantiques de supplication et d'autres dédiés à notre mère du ciel, la Vierge Marie. Il y a également un chant où nous prions pour la paix dans notre pays. Nous exaltons le Seigneur, nous le bénissons, nous contemplons sa gloire. Notre prière est que cet album touche les cœurs et que chacun revienne véritablement à Jésus-Christ, notre Seigneur et notre Dieu », a expliqué Emmanuel Sedogo, responsable de la chorale Chœur Notre Dame des Pauvres.

Il a invité le public à s'approprier cette œuvre musicale : « Nous appelons nos frères et sœurs à consommer sans modération cet album. Nous les invitons à nous accompagner dans cette mission d'évangélisation en achetant au moins une clé et en l'offrant à d'autres personnes. Nous vous promettons beaucoup de surprises. Nous avons déjà reçu de nombreux témoignages à travers les hymnes, preuve que Jésus-Christ est toujours le même, hier, aujourd'hui et à jamais. Et puisque c'est sa parole qui est chantée, nous savons qu'elle transformera des vies », a-t-il poursuivi.
