The Council adopted its position on the proposal for a regulation on the transparency and targeting of political advertising.

This proposal is part of ongoing efforts to modernise and digitalise cross-border judicial cooperation, making it easier for prosecutors and judges to exchange information and bring criminals to justice.

The Council approved conclusions on enlargement and stabilisation and association process.

Under the new recommendations member states should not impose any restrictions on travel on the grounds of public health. However, the recommendations keep a number of safeguards in case of a deteriorating epidemiological situation.

Council approves fishing opportunities for 2023 in the Atlantic, North Sea, Mediterranean and Black Sea, as well as for deep sea stocks.

The co-legislators reached a provisional agreement on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which is expected to boost climate-friendly industrial production outside the borders of the EU.

The Council approved conclusions on Iran, added 20 individuals and one entity to the Iran human rights sanctions list, and added four individuals and four entities to the list of those subject to restrictive measures for undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
