G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, met on 25 October 2024 in Washington, DC, and issued two joint statements.

The EU successfully concluded the EU Integrated Resolve 2024, a joint exercise co-led by the Council of the EU, the European Commission, as well as the European External Action Service.

European Council President Michel, along with the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, invited heads of state and government across Europe to the fifth meeting of the European Political Community, which will take place in Budapest on 7 November 2024.

The Council today adopted a financial assistance package to Ukraine, including an exceptional macro-financial assistance (MFA) loan of up to €35 billion and a loan cooperation mechanism that will support Ukraine in repaying loans for up to €45 billion provided by the EU and G7 partners. Repayment will be supported by funds coming from extraordinary profits available to the EU stemming from the immobilisation of Russian sovereign assets.
