A Tanács a mai napon két határozatot fogadott el, amelyekben meghatározta a hivatalosan támogatott exporthitelekről szóló megállapodás javasolt módosításaival kapcsolatos uniós álláspontot. Az EU álláspontja szerint mindkét módosítást támogatni kell.

The 29th summit EU-Japan took place on 13 July 2023 in Brussels. A joint press conference was held at the end of the summit during which President Michel underlined that Japan is one of the EU’s staunchest allies and closest partner in the Indo-Pacific region.

A Tanács a mai napon elfogadta az elemekre, illetve akkumulátorokra és a hulladékelemekre, illetve -akkumulátorokra vonatkozó fenntarthatósági szabályokat szigorító új rendeletet. Az EU most először fogja szabályozni az elemek, illetve akkumulátorok teljes életciklusát – a gyártástól az újrahasználatig és az újrafeldolgozásig –, és biztosítani fogja, hogy az elemek, illetve akkumulátorok biztonságosak, fenntarthatók és versenyképesek legyenek.
