The EU issued a statement on the 2nd anniversary of the military take-over in Myanmar stressing that it stands unequivocally with the people of Myanmar in their demands for civilian rule and democracy.

A Tanács a szegénység és a társadalmi kirekesztődés elleni küzdelmet szolgáló megfelelő minimumjövedelemről szóló ajánlást fogadott el. A jövedelemtámogatás akkor tekinthető megfelelőnek, ha az élet minden szakaszában biztosítja a méltósággal élhető életet. Ajánlott, hogy a tagállamok az államháztartás fenntarthatóságának megőrzése mellett legkésőbb 2030-ig fokozatosan érjék el a jövedelemtámogatás megfelelő szintjét.
