The Council approved conclusions reaffirming that EU climate and energy diplomacy is a core component of EU’s foreign policy, and stressing the EU determination to engage and work with partners worldwide in this field.

On 9 March 2023, the Council appointed Ms Emer Finnegan as the new Director-General of the Council Legal Service and as Legal Counsel of the European Council and the Council.
