A Schuman-nyilatkozat 75. évfordulója alkalmából az Európai Parlament elnöke, az Európai Tanács elnöke és az Európai Bizottság elnöke együttes nyilatkozatot adtak ki, amelyben újólag megerősítették elkötelezettségüket az európai projekt, valamint az annak alapját képező értékek, vagyis a béke, az egység és a megosztott szuverenitás iránt. Tekintettel a jelenlegi globális kihívásokra, ideértve Oroszország Ukrajna elleni háborúját és az éghajlatváltozást is, az uniós vezetők ígéretet tettek arra, hogy megerősítik Európa biztonságát, jólétét, valamint megbízható globális partnerként betöltött szerepét.
