On 25 April, a Public Hearing on EU-NATO cooperation will take place in the framework of a SEDE ordinary meeting. The Hearing will focus on the follow-up of the Madrid Summit, where Members have set new strategic directions for the Alliance and reinforced NATO's deterrent posture on the eastern flank and sent a strong message to Russia about its unity in the face of aggression against Ukraine.

The debate will also focus on the 3rd Joint Declaration and its stated goal to take the EU-NATO partnership to the next level. Members will exchange views on concrete actions that need to be taken to achieve this objective in order to create more synergies between the EU Strategic Compass and NATO Strategic Concept.

On 25 April, SEDE Members will exchange views with the Minister of Defence of Moldova, Anatolie NOSATÎI. The debate will focus on the consequences of Russian war of aggression against Ukraine for Moldova, including the danger posed by Russian proxy political agitators and the presence of large stocks of ammunition and 1,500 Russian soldiers in Transnistria.
In order to counter massive Russian disinformation campaigns aimed at destabilising the country and change the political order, Members will also exchange views with the Minister NOSATÎI on the prospects of a new CSDP partnership mission (EUPM Moldova), which should contribute to enhancing the resilience of Moldova's security sector in the areas of crisis management as well as hybrid threats.

The President of the Eurogroup, Paschal Donohoe, has sent a letter to the President of the Euro Summit, Charles Michel, to report on the work of the Eurogroup. The letter will inform the discussion that Leaders will hold at the upcoming Euro Summit.

Präsident Michel hat die Mitglieder des Europäischen Rates zu der Tagung am 23./24. März 2023 eingeladen. Sie werden mit einem Gedankenaustausch mit VN-Generalsekretär Guterres beginnen. Der Europäische Rat wird sich danach mit der Ukraine sowie mit Wettbewerbsfähigkeit, Handel, Migration und Energie befassen. EU-Iraq issued a joint declaration on sustainable development, green transition, governance, regional connectivity and sustainable finance following the 3rd EU-Iraq Cooperation Council held in Brussels on 19 March 2023.

Am Internationalen Tag für die Beseitigung der Rassendiskriminierung hat die EU eine Erklärung veröffentlicht, in der betont wird, dass alle Menschen frei und gleich an Würde und Rechten geboren sind und dass die EU weiterhin mit allen ihr zur Verfügung stehenden Mitteln Rassismus und Rassendiskriminierung innerhalb ihrer eigenen Grenzen bekämpfen wird.
