(B2) La frégate allemande Karlsruhe (F-223) a pris le relais en Méditerranée de la corvette Ludwigshafen dans le cadre de l’opération de lutte contre les trafiquants et de secours en mer (EUNAVFOR Med). Le Karlsruhe est le sixième navire d’une série de huit unités de type F122, de la classe « BREMEN ». Il dispose d’un équipage d’environ 210 hommes et femmes. Durant les 50 jours passés dans l’opération européenne, le Ludwigshafen et son équipage, ont sauvé plus de 500 migrants.
