In view of the atrocities committed in Bucha, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused the UN Security Council of inaction and called on it to reform or "dissolve yourself altogether". This puts the simmering debate about the powers and powerlessness of the United Nations in armed conflicts firmly back on the agenda.

As the Washington Post's header always reads "Democracy Dies in Darkness". The biggest threat to a dictator like Vladimir Putin is an informed populace. Let us do everything we can to make that threat loom larger.
