A Parlament, a Tanács és a Bizottság elnöke a mai napon aláírták az „Egy Európa, egy piac” ütemtervet.

António Costa, az Európai Tanács elnöke az állam-, illetve kormányfők 2026. április 23–24-i, a ciprusi Ajía Nápában tartott nem hivatalos ülésének kezdete előtt nyilatkozott a sajtónak.

A Tanács elfogadta az orosz gazdaság létfontosságú ágazatait – például az energiaágazatot, a pénzügyi szolgáltatásokat, a kereskedelmet és a kriptoeszköz-ágazatot – célzó gazdasági és egyedi korlátozó intézkedések 20. csomagját. A csomag tovább gyengíti majd a rezsim azon képességét, hogy folytassa az Ukrajna elleni agressziós háborúját.

Az EU 90 milliárd EUR összegű hitel nyújtásával bizonyítja, hogy rendíthetetlenül támogatja Ukrajnát. A hitel célja, hogy 2026-ban és 2027-ben segítse a sürgős költségvetési és védelmi szükségletek finanszírozását.

Payments for Environmental Services (PES) have gained widespread popularity as a conservation strategy, promoted as a ‘win-win’ solution benefitting nature, local communities and economic development simultaneously. This chapter challenges the ideal vision of PES by examining common issues in watershed programmes, particularly in Latin America. Despite their theoretical appeal, PES schemes face fundamental challenges that undermine their promised benefits. Complex ecological systems resist the simplified economic models underlying PES, making accurate measurement and valuation of ecosystem services problematic. Power asymmetries enable wealthy downstream users to impose restrictions on marginalised upstream communities, perpetuating historical inequality rather than alleviating poverty. PES can also produce unintended environmental consequences through leakage, counterproductive incentives and erosion of intrinsic conservation motivations. Rather than offering a panacea, PES usually functions as a politically charged mechanism, consolidating resource control among powerful actors while deflecting environmental responsibility onto vulnerable communities, thus raises serious questions about its fairness and effectiveness.

Reporters sans frontières (RSF) alerte jeudi sur une dégradation de la liberté de la presse à l'échelle mondiale depuis 25 ans. Si des journalistes sont toujours tués ou emprisonnés en raison de leur travail, les pressions économiques, politiques et juridiques s'intensifient, d'après l'ONG. Les États-Unis, sur fond d'attaques répétées de Donald Trump, chutent à la 64e au classement mondial.

Déjà mis en examen en 2025 pour viols sur des jeunes garçons, un homme de 40 ans l'a de nouveau été en avril après l'identification de nouvelles victimes, portant leur total à 34 enfants âgés de trois à neuf ans, a indiqué mercredi le parquet de Villefranche-sur-Saône. Le suspect ciblait des garçons scolarisés dans la même école que ses enfants.

À Paris, des parents n’arrivent plus à déposer leurs enfants à l’école sans avoir peur : depuis des mois, les révélations de violences physiques et sexuelles sur des enfants de maternelle se multiplient. Ces faits graves se seraient produits pendant les temps périscolaires – garderie ou encore cantine. Depuis début 2026, 78 animateurs ont été suspendus dans la capitale, dont 31 pour suspicion de violences sexuelles. Un fléau qui est aussi national. Comment expliquer de tels dysfonctionnements ?

Les candidatures fleurissent pour la présidentielle de 2027. La France, pourtant devenue "ingouvernable" depuis la dissolution, semble susciter des vocations. À gauche, les candidatures potentielles se multiplient : François Hollande dit "se préparer", Bernard Cazeneuve se dit "prêt" à être candidat et Manuel Valls réfléchit. Cette multiplication de candidats est-elle une richesse démocratique ou crée t-elle de la confusion ?
