Plenartagung : Am Donnerstag hat das Parlament die Liste der 65 Mitglieder des Untersuchungsausschusses zu den “Panama-Papers”-Enthüllungen über Offshore-Unternehmen und deren geheim gehaltene Eigentümer angenommen. Die Einsetzung des Ausschusses hatten die Abgeordneten bereits Anfang Juni beschlossen.

Plenary sessions : “It is time for our people to live in freedom, without walls and checkpoints”, urged President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas in his address to MEPs on Thursday. He conveyed his people’s gratitude to the European Parliament for recognising a State of Palestine and criticised Israel for pursuing its occupation of Palestinian territories.

Séance plénière : Les députés ont voté jeudi de nouvelles lois déterminant quel juge devra être en charge dans les cas de divorces internationaux et décès. Ces textes mettront fin à des procédures parallèles coutant près de 1,1 milliard d'euros par an, dans différents États membres dont les tribunaux doivent régler des conflits de propriété. Elles s'appliqueront aux 18 pays qui ont souhaité rejoindre cette "coopération renforcée".

The OSCE Mission to Skopje organized a workshop on 23 June 2016 for 35 police managers from the Sector of Internal Affairs on identification, prevention and investigation of hate crimes.

The aim of the workshop was to strengthen the capacity of police officers to identify hate crimes and provide responses in line with democratic policing principles and international human rights standards. 

This workshop complemented other previous and ongoing activities of the Mission in this area which are implemented in co-operation with national authorities.

The event was the first in a series of eight workshops which will be held in each sector for internal affairs in the country.

Plenartagung : Der Mehrjahresplan für die Fischereien in der Ostsee für Kabeljau, Sprotte und Hering wurde am Donnerstag angenommen. Es ist der erste Bewirtschaftungsplan der Gemeinsamen Fischereipolitik, der die Interaktionen der genannten Arten berücksichtigt. Der Plan soll die Nachhaltigkeit der Fischereien gewährleisten und langfristig bessere wirtschaftliche Bedingungen für die Fischer schaffen. Parlament und Rat hatten sich im März informell über den Plan geeinigt.

A further 300 young unemployed people should also benefit from the aid, to come from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF).

Séance plénière : Une proposition visant à accorder à la Belgique une aide européenne de 1.824.041 euros pour soutenir la réinsertion sur le marché du travail de 488 travailleurs licenciés par plusieurs fabricants de machines de construction en Wallonie a été approuvée par les députés jeudi. Environ 300 autres jeunes chômeurs devraient également bénéficier de l'aide, provenant du Fonds européen d'ajustement à la mondialisation (FEM).
