Accrochés à des pourcentages de PIB désincarnés ou artificiels, « experts » et médias mentent à l'Afrique quand ils lui font croire qu'elle a « démarré » et qu'une « classe moyenne » y est née. En effet, non seulement le continent ne se développe pas, mais, au sud du Sahara, il est même revenu à une économie de « comptoir ».
Au XVIIIe siècle ces derniers étaient esclavagistes ; en 2015, ils sont pétroliers, gaziers ou miniers. Comme ceux d'hier, ceux d'aujourd'hui n'enrichissent qu'une infime minorité d'acteurs-profiteurs cependant que la masse de la population subit en tentant de survivre.
Allons-nous donc continuer de mentir à l'Afrique quand, confrontées à la misère et pour échapper au désastre dont elles sont les premières victimes, ses jeunes générations risquent leur vie dans de mortelles traversées vers le supposé « paradis » européen ? Afin d'attaquer les vraies causes du mal, les acteurs africains et européens doivent commencer par cesser de s'abriter derrière ces postures dogmatiques et ces mensonges qui, depuis des décennies, engluent le continent dans les échecs.

The IISS Cartagena Dialogue is an exercise designed to bring together the members of the Pacific aAlliance, an economically liberal free-trade oriented bloc of Latin American states, together with the major states of the Asia-Pacific region. As such it seeks to identify commonalities and one such, the subject of illegal mining, will be covered in the special session that I will be chairing.

The commodities boom witnessed over the past decade has heralded an equally large boom in the phenomenon of illegal mining. When people talk about illegal mining, the assumption is that they are talking about small-scale operations with marginal local impact. But in parts of Latin America and Asia, such mining often takes place on a very large scale and has significant detrimental impacts. The fact that it is unregulated means the illegal mining industry observes none of the standards that should apply in the legal mining sector. The result is environmental degradation on a massive scale – deforestation, water and soil pollution, and high levels of toxicity from lead and mercury; the widespread use of child and slave labour; and the extensive involvement of criminal entities and insurgent groups. For example it is estimated that Colombia’s main insurgent groups FARC and ELN derive as much if not more revenue from illegal mining than they do from their traditional mainstay of narcotics trafficking.

Managing this problem is a complex domestic and international challenge. In the course of a weekend I don’t expect us to come up with comprehensive solutions. But there are grounds for hoping that the IISS Cartagena Dialogue will generate a wider awareness and understanding of the issues involved and help to generate some of the connections and relationships that will be needed to address the problem. A collaborative approach involving both producer and consumer countries will be needed – and many of the major ones will be represented at Cartagena. Watch this space.

A „Komplex technológiai fejlesztés és foglalkoztatás támogatása” című pályázat keretében 63,13 millió forint vissza nem térítendő uniós támogatást nyert el a Palotás-Mix Gumiipari Kft.

A közel 444,5 millió forint összköltségű projekt során a cég kemeneshőgyészi székhelyének komplex technológia- és infrastruktúra fejlesztését valósította meg.

A beruházás során technológiai korszerűsítést eredményező új berendezések beszerzése történt, melyek kapacitásbővítést eredményeztek.

Az infrastrukturális és ingatlan beruházás keretében a vállalkozás egy új gyártócsarnokot épített, továbbá a fentiek működtetési feltételeit biztosító külső infrastrukturális fejlesztések is megvalósultak.

Az alkalmazandó technológia bővítése, a kibocsátás bővítése szükségszerűen magában hordozta a munkavállalók létszámának a bővítését is. A projekt hatására a Palotás-Mix Kft. újabb 10 fő részére teremt munkahelyet. A társaság ilyen módon is megjelenített, növekedésre építő gazdálkodása közvetlenül segíti elő a foglalkoztatás bővülését a térségben.

A fejlesztés eredményeként a Palotás-Mix Kft. az alkalmazott technológia minőségének és termelékenységének javításával sikeresen szerepelhet a nemzetközi versenyben, valamint megszilárdíthatja piaci pozícióját a gumikeverékek gyártása során.

A GOP 2.1.3-12 „Komplex technológiai fejlesztés és foglalkoztatás támogatása” című pályázati kiíráson 63 131 822 forintos támogatást elnyert, 444 468 224 forint összköltségvetésű projekt 2013 februárjában indult és 2014 novemberében zárult.

A projekt az Európai Unió támogatásával, az Európai Regionális Fejlesztési Alap társfinanszírozásával valósult meg.

Az Európai Bizottság február közepén elfogadta a Nemzeti Fejlesztési Minisztérium vezetésével elkészült mindkét magyar Operatív Programot. Az Integrált Közlekedésfejlesztési Operatív Programban (IKOP) és a Környezeti és Energiahatékonysági Operatív Programban (KEHOP) összesen több mint 2000 milliárd forint uniós támogatás nyerhető el 2014 és 2020 között.
