L'ancien directeur général de la Police Louis Philippe Houndégnon est attendu devant la Cour suprême ce jeudi 24 septembre 2026. C'est dans le cadre du pourvoi en cassation introduit par ses avocats après une décision de la chambre d'appel de la CRIET.

Le dossier de Louis Philippe Houndégnon connaît un nouveau développement. Selon Bip Radio, la défense a formé un pourvoi en cassation suite à la décision rendue par la chambre d'appel de la Cour de répression des infractions économiques et du terrorisme (CRIET). Celle-ci avait confirmé la compétence de la juridiction pour connaître de l'affaire, alors que le premier juge s'était déclaré incompétent.

Pour les avocats de Louis Philippe Houndégnon, la procédure est entachée de violations présumées des droits de leur client. La défense entend que la Cour suprême se prononce sur ces griefs et ordonne la remise en liberté de l'ancien patron de la Police.

Louis Philippe Houndégnon est détenu depuis le 13 novembre 2024. Il est poursuivi notamment pour incitation à la rébellion et harcèlement par voie électronique.
