L’armée hongroise mobilise ses hélicos pour surveiller la frontière avec la Serbie

(B2) Le gouvernement hongrois a décidé d’envoyer des renforts sur sa frontière Sud avec la Serbie. L’armée a ainsi déployé, depuis mercredi dernier (24 février), des hélicoptères en cinq points proches de la frontière, entre Szeged (Hongrie) et Sobatica (Serbie) : à Mórahalom, Ásotthalom, Domaszék, Kelebia et Röszke (voir carte).

Le nombre de personnel servant le long de la frontière a aussi été « augmenté de façon significative » et des véhicules blindés déployés « le long des sections frontalières menacées » pour soutenir les patrouilles de garde-frontières, indique le ministère de la Défense. Le ton employé à Budapest ne donne aucun doute sur la gravité ressentie de la menace. « Le gouvernement hongrois est engagé à protéger les frontières de l’espace Schengen, et fait de son mieux pour préserver la sécurité des citoyens hongrois ».
