Le premier du salon international du bétail et de la viande en Afrique de l'Ouest s'est clos ce dimanche 4 septembre à Abidjan. Pendant cinq jours, 16 000 personnes issues de huit pays (Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina, Niger, Mali, Togo, Bénin, Ghana) de la sous-région se sont retrouvées autour des enjeux de cette filière qui compte 220 millions de bêtes et représente 15% du PIB de la Cédéao. Pour les éleveurs, les défis et difficultés ne manquent pas, notamment à cause de la sécheresse dont ils sont chaque année un peu plus victimes.
