On Monday (13 July 2026), NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte attended a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris. The meeting was co-chaired by the President of France Emmanuel Macron, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Sir Keir Starmer, together with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. They were joined by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

India and Japan held their 8th Defence Policy Dialogue in Tokyo, Japan on 13 July 2026. The Indian delegation was led by Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh and the Japanese delegation was led by Vice Minister of Defence for International Affairs Mr. Kano Koji. Both sides reviewed the significant progress made in bilateral defence cooperation since the previous Defence Policy Dialogue and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership.

China's Foreign Ministry on Sunday issued a statement in response to certain countries' playing up of the "South China Sea Arbitration Award" 10 years after its issuance. Chinese Foreign Ministry reiterated that China does not accept or recognize the "award," and China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests in the South China Sea shall not be affected by the "award" under any circumstances.

Ecobank Transnational Incorporated a célébré aujourd'hui la cotation de son obligation de 450 millions de dollars US dédiée à l'agriculture durable et au capital naturel, lors d'une cérémonie d'ouverture de marché organisée à la Bourse de Londres.
Cette opération constitue la première obligation Nature au monde, désignée comme telle par l'ICMA, émise par une banque commerciale. Elle est également la première obligation verte à emploi des fonds, à l'échelle mondiale, à bénéficier de la désignation secondaire « obligation Nature » de l'ICMA.
Cette obligation est destinée à financer des prêts éligibles dans trois domaines : la production agricole durable, la transformation agro-industrielle responsable, ainsi que l'approvisionnement en eau et l'assainissement. Les financements seront déployés dans 24 marchés où Ecobank est présente, avec une priorité accordée aux pays présentant des enjeux majeurs en matière de nature et de biodiversité.
Au-delà de cette émission, l'opération illustre l'engagement croissant du groupe Ecobank dans la mobilisation de capitaux africains et internationaux en faveur des secteurs essentiels à la résilience du continent, notamment les systèmes alimentaires, le capital naturel, les chaînes de valeur et les ressources en eau.
L'opération a suscité une forte demande des investisseurs, avec un carnet d'ordres final supérieur à 1,36 milliard de dollars US, soit une sursouscription de 3,9 fois par rapport à la taille initialement visée de 350 millions de dollars US. Cette forte demande a permis à Ecobank d'augmenter le montant de l'émission de 100 millions de dollars US, pour le porter à 450 millions de dollars US, et de resserrer le prix de 50 points de base par rapport aux indications initiales, ce qui correspond à un « greenium » de 50 points de base. Moody's a attribué à l'opération sa meilleure notation en matière de qualité durable, SQS1 « Excellent ».
L'obligation a attiré une base d'investisseurs internationale et diversifiée. Les allocations finales ont été réparties à environ 55 % entre le Royaume-Uni et l'Europe, 38 % en Afrique, 3 % au Moyen-Orient, 2 % aux États-Unis et 2 % en Asie. L'opération a notamment bénéficié de la participation d'institutions de financement du développement et de fonds spécialisés dans la durabilité. FMO, la banque néerlandaise de développement entrepreneurial, y a participé en qualité d'investisseur de référence.
L'obligation est structurée comme un instrument de fonds propres Tier 2, d'une maturité de 10,25 ans, avec une option de remboursement anticipé à 5,25 ans.
Plusieurs hauts responsables d'Ecobank ont pris part à la cérémonie d'ouverture de marché, notamment :
