Du 18 novembre 2016 au 12 mars 2017 se tient l'exposition "Paul Klee et les surréalistes" au Centre Paul Klee de Berne en Suisse. Cette exposition explore pour la première fois les relations qu'entretenait l'artiste avec les surréalistes français dans le Paris des années 1920 et 1930.

Du 15 novembre au 19 janvier 2017, le musée du Prado à Madrid organise une exposition intitulée 'Metapintura : Un viaje a la idea del arte'. Organisée autour d'une centaine de tableaux, cette exposition se penche sur les fondements, les règles et le rôle des images dans la peinture.

Du 15 novembre au 5 mars 2017, le musée d'Orsay organise une exposition autour de l'œuvre de Frédéric Bazille, peintre impressionniste français du 19e siècle. A travers une soixantaine de tableaux, l'exposition se penche sur ses méthodes de travail ainsi que sa relation avec d'autres peintres comme Monet ou Renoir.

Jusqu'au 7 janvier 2017, la Michel Werner Gallery accueille une exposition sur le peintre allemand Richard Oelze (1900-1980), considéré comme l'un des maîtres oubliés du surréalisme.

Es bietet Anregungen für das konkrete Handeln der jeweiligen Akteure und stellt einen Beitrag zur Förderung der Hochschulautonomie dar.

MEDMIG Research Brief: ‘Understanding the dynamics of migration to Greece and the EU’ is included in Think Tank Review of the Council of the EU (p. 37).

This Research Brief presents findings in relation to refugees and migrants who traveled via the Eastern Mediterranean Route from Turkey to Greece during 2015. The research took place in collaboration with ELIAMEP between September 2015 and January 2016

The Brief focuses on four main themes: a) The factors affecting the decision to leave, b) Journeys and routes taken to reach Greece, c) Intended destinations of those migrating, and d) the use of smugglers to facilitate the journey. Υοu can find here more information.

Der ukrainische Präsident Petro Poroschenko hat 2015 einen Prozess der »Deoligarchisierung« angekündigt. Daraus ist bislang wenig geworden. Zwar konnten im Bereich der öffentlichen Beschaffung Profitquellen der Oligarchen teilweise trockengelegt werden. Auch wurden in Bezug auf die Parteienfinanzierung und das Medienrecht einige Schritte unternommen, um den Einfluss der Oligarchen zurückzudrängen. Diese Reformen sind bislang jedoch nicht wirkungsvoll implementiert worden. Zudem haben Maßnahmen in Sektoren, die für die Oligarchen von elementarer Bedeutung sind (vor allem Energie), einen äußerst widersprüchlichen Charakter. So bleibt das oligarchische System bestehen und wird von der herrschenden Elite sogar mitgetragen und erweitert. Solange externe Akteure ihren Einfluss nicht verstärken, wird die Ukraine trotz vieler Reformbemühungen aus dem Sumpf der Korruption kaum herauskommen.

ELIAMEP provides the channel for recruiting Greek students for the Master’s Programme at the College of Europe through the Greek Selection Committee for the College of Europe, which operates on the ELIAMEP premises. The College of Europe is a centre of academic excellence, with five programmes, leading to a Master’s degree. It operates in two campuses, in Bruges (Belgium) and Natolin (Poland). The five one-year programmes are: Politics and Administration, Law, Economics as well as EU International Relations and Diplomacy in Bruges, and the “European Interdisciplinary Studies: The Internal and External Dimensions of the EU” programme in Natolin.

Applying: The requirements for admission are a relevant University degree of good standard and working knowledge (writing and speaking) of English and French.

Closing date for applications is January 18th, 2017. Interviews for short-listed candidates take place in April / May in Athens by the Greek Selection Committee. Application files should include the documents (in English or in French) listed below:

1. The Application Form of the College of Europe, to be submitted online.

2. a CV indicating the totality of your studies as well as the grades obtained.

3. a certified copy of your degree(s) (if you are not yet in possession of your final degree, please send it as soon as it is available).

4. a transcript from your University, Faculty, School, detailing results for every year of your studies and grades obtained.

5. 2 letters of recommendation from two of your university professors.

No other documents are required. Please note that applications which are not complete, especially with respect to the certificates detailing the results of your studies and the marks obtained cannot be taken into consideration. Please also note that the Master’s Degrees awarded from the College of Europe are recognized from the National Academic Recognition Information Center (NARIC).
