A Tanács a mai napon következtetéseket hagyott jóvá az EU 2027-es éves költségvetésére vonatkozó iránymutatásokról. Az iránymutatások politikai útmutatással szolgálnak a Bizottság számára a jövő évi költségvetési tervezetre vonatkozó javaslat elkészítéséhez.

A Tanács a mai napon aktiválta Ausztria számára a Stabilitási és Növekedési Paktum szerinti nemzeti mentesítési rendelkezést. Az intézkedés segíteni fog Ausztriának abban, hogy az államadósság fenntarthatósága mellett magasabb szintre emelje nemzeti védelmi kiadásait.

A Tanács a mai napon két országgal – a Turks- és Caicos-szigetekkel, valamint Vietnámmal – bővítette az uniós jegyzéket. Ezzel egyidejűleg három országot – Fidzsit, Szamoát, valamint Trinidad és Tobagót – törölt a jegyzékből. E módosításokat követően a jegyzék 10 országot, illetve területet tartalmaz.

António Costa, az Európai Tanács elnöke ezen a héten Oslóba utazik, ahol magas szintű találkozókon vesz majd részt. A látogatás hátterét az adja, hogy a Norvégiával fennálló kétoldalú kapcsolatokat lendületes fejlődés jellemzi. Az EU és Norvégia közötti partnerség kivételesen szoros, az ország pedig egyike azoknak a partnereknek, amelyek az Unióhoz rendkívül hasonlóan gondolkodnak.

A Tanács hivatalosan elfogadta a felszíni és a felszín alatti vizek állapotát befolyásolót szennyező anyagok – többek között a növényvédő szerek, a gyógyszerek és a per- és polifluor-alkil anyagok (PFA-anyagok) – jegyzékének bővítéséről és aktualizálásáról szóló irányelvet.

Today, the Council added two countries - Turks and Caicos Islands and Viet Nam – to the EU list. At the same time, three countries - Fiji, Samoa and Trinidad and Tobago - were removed. Following this update, the list consists of 10 jurisdictions.

The President of the European Council, António Costa, will travel to Oslo this week for high-level meetings. The visit marks the strong momentum of the bilateral relations with Norway, one of the closest and most likeminded partners for the European Union.

The Council formally adopted the directive to expand and update the list of pollutants affecting surface water and groundwater, including pesticides, pharmaceuticals and PFAS.
