Gergely VARGA, Ph.D

Gergely Varga, PhD. of Budapest Corvinus University is an international relations and security policy expert currently working as a non-resident fellow for the Center for Strategic and Defense Studies, National University of Public Service and the Institute of International Affairs and Trade in Budapest. His research focus is transatlantic relations, US foreign- and security policy, NATO and European security challenges. He has written extensively on NATO’s strategy, the security policy of the Bush and Obama administrations and US engagement in the greater Middle East.

Previously he was also a visiting fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations of Johns Hopkins University in Washington D.C. He has earned his M.A. degrees in History and Law at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest.
