Le Togo a reçu pour la première fois de son histoire un certificat de reconnaissance du Conseil de l’Organisation de l’Aviation Civile Internationale (OACI), l’une des plus hautes distinctions dans le domaine de la sûreté aéronautique.

Cette récompense fait suite à l’audit USAP-CMA mené du 25 février au 6 mars 2025, au terme duquel le pays a obtenu un taux de conformité supérieur à 90 %. Ce résultat place le Togo 1er en Afrique de l’Ouest et du Centre, 2ᵉ sur le continent et 3ᵉ au niveau mondial, derrière le Kenya et Israël.

La distinction a été remise au Colonel Idrissou Abdou Ahabou, Directeur général de l’ANAC-Togo, lors de la 42ᵉ session de l’Assemblée de l’OACI à Montréal. Celui-ci a salué « une victoire collective » et réaffirmé l’engagement du Togo à maintenir ce niveau d’excellence.

Cette performance illustre le professionnalisme des équipes de l’aviation civile togolaise et consacre Lomé comme hub aéronautique de référence en Afrique de l’Ouest.
