Highlights - Debate with the President of Montenegro - Committee on Foreign Affairs

On 18 July 2023 Members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs will hold a debate with H.E. Jakov Milatović, President of Montenegro. The exchange of views comes takes place just two months after President Milatović took office following presidential elections in March and April 2023. High political tensions and polarisation plunged Montenegro into a deep political and institutional crisis last year, and consequently stalled Montenegro’s progress on its European path.
Members will be willing to hear from the incumbent President about his priorities for the country and the way forward on Montenegro's path towards EU accession.
