If the succession of Heads of State, leaders and other well-known personalities that continue to visit Parliament is anything to go by, the Parliament is definitely ‘the place to be’ on the diplomatic map. The second Parliamentary session in May will feature the attendance of the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, who will contribute to the series of debates on the Future of Europe on Wednesday lunchtime. Alpha Condé, President of the Republic of Guinea, will also address Parliament on Tuesday lunchtime, and the President of the Republic of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos Calderón, will address the plenary in a formal sitting on Wednesday lunchtime.

Over 70 % of EU fish caught in the North Sea, worth more than €850 million, are species that live close to the seabed, such as cod and haddock. Parliament is particularly concerned that fisheries measures should be taken based on the best available scientific advice, with a view to managing fishing stocks to secure the long-term sustainability of the North Sea fisheries, including joint management with third countries in the region. On Monday evening, Members will debate a provisional agreement with Council on a multi-annual plan for demersal stocks in the North Sea and the fisheries exploiting those stocks. Members will then also discuss a provisional agreement on the transposition of management, conservation and control measures applicable in the Convention Area of the South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation, making the measures applicable to EU fishing vessels that fish for jack mackerel and other species in the area, with the aim of, among other things, controlling the types of nets used, reducing seabird capture, and managing fishing that affects the sea bottom.

Also on Monday evening, Parliament will consider a report on the interpretation and implementation of the Interinstitutional Agreement on Better Law-Making, in force since 2016. Through their commitment to greater simplicity, clarity and consistency in Union legislation, and better coordination and transparency in the legislative process, the EU institutions have issued joint declarations on legislative priorities and improved access to information in the preparation of delegated acts. However, the report deems progress on other issues, such as information flow from the Council, and lack of transparency in Member States regarding their ‘gold-plating’ of EU legislation, as unsatisfactory.

On Tuesday morning, there will be statements from the Council and Commission on the Multiannual Financial Framework for 2021 to 2027 and Own Resources, for which the Commission adopted overarching proposals on 2 May, and is planning to adopt individual proposals for spending programmes during the week of the plenary session. Following that debate, Parliament will debate the agreement reached with the Council on the revision of the Posting of Workers Directive. Posting of workers is increasingly common in the internal market, particularly in the services sector, but such workers often find themselves at a disadvantage to counterparts in their host country, through being paid less and lacking legal protection. The Commission proposed revisions to the 1996 directive which currently governs the treatment of posted workers, with a view to adapting them to today’s labour market and the needs of firms while ensuring fair social protection for workers.

On Tuesday evening, Parliament will debate a recommendation for second reading of an important agreement on a Commission proposal on the protection against dumped and subsidised imports from countries not members of the EU. Modernising trade defence instruments, which allow countries to counter unfair trade practices under World Trade Organization rules, is needed to ensure Anti-Dumping and Anti-Subsidy Regulations are fit for the fast evolving global trade environment. A key issue is the proposal for partial waiver of the ‘lesser duty rule’ (LDR) for vulnerable countries, as well as the introduction of interested party status for trade unions.

Also on Tuesday evening, Members will debate a report assessing the implementation of the Victims’ Rights Directive – legislation ensuring EU-wide protection and support for victims of crime. Parliament has long supported ensuring minimum standards on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime throughout the EU, aiming at better protection against domestic violence and crimes such as stalking. However, some Member States have delayed introduction of the legislation, leading to differences in the treatment of victims.

A vote will take place on Wednesday on a proposal to amend the EU budget, aimed at providing €97 646 105 in EU Solidarity Fund assistance for Greece, Spain, France and Portugal to help their recovery from natural disasters, earthquakes, hurricanes, and catastrophic fires suffered in the course of 2017.

On Wednesday afternoon, Members will discuss EU values and the proliferation of corruption and crime through ‘golden visas’, a practice whereby some EU Member States offer citizenship and residence to persons who commit to bringing funding into their country. As these persons also automatically acquire EU citizenship in the process, concern has been expressed regarding the equity of such schemes, and their possible links to corruption and crime, as well as the effect on other Member States.

Parliament will debate a report on revising the EU legal framework on odometer manipulation in motor vehicles – or tampering with the mileage gauge in cars – on Wednesday afternoon. The practice is particularly prevalent in the very large EU second-hand car market and poses risks to consumers, who are often unaware of the fraud, and to road safety. The report proposes that hardware solutions are introduced to protect new vehicles, that mileage recordings are made mandatory, and that long-term solutions are explored, as well as making odometer fraud an offence.

A motion for a resolution is tabled for debate on Wednesday evening concerning the implementation of the Gender Action Plan, and particularly transforming the lives of girls and women through EU external relations in the development sphere, by ensuring gender equality and women’s empowerment, including within the EU institutions themselves.

Plusieurs députés ont exprimé des craintes pour la liberté d’expression et de la presse lors de l'audition de la ministre de la Culture à propos d'une loi en préparation sur les fausses informations.  

Le nouveau gouvernement italien projette de laisser filer son déficit, ce qui inquiète déjà Bruxelles.  

Les usagers de l'Université d'Abomey-Calavi (Uac) n'auront plus de peine à se faire établir les actes d'état civil. Ceci est le fruit des démarches menées par le recteur de l'UAC, le professeur Maxime da Cruz.

C'est à travers un arrêté en date du 16 mai 2018 et portant mise à disposition d'un local que le recteur de l'UAC, le Professeur Maxime da Cruz porte à l'attention du maire de la Commune d'Abomey-Calavi, Georges Bada qu'après étude de la demande de la mairie, que le rectorat a décidé de mettre au profit du service d'état civil de ladite municipalité, un bureau sur le campus universitaire. Ce bureau localisé au niveau du bâtiment Jean Pliya servira de cadre pour l'établissement des actes d'état civil de la mairie d'Abomey-Calavi.
Le Professeur Maxime da Cruz voudrait prier le maire de prendre contact avec les services compétents de l'UAC, notamment le service de la Maintenance et du Matériel du Rectorat, afin de récupérer les clés dudit local. Un local qui permet à la mairie de satisfaire les usagers de l'Université pour les services d'état civil. Il s'agit donc d'une bonne nouvelle pour tous les usagers du campus universitaire d'Abomey-Calavi. Par cet acte du recteur et du maire Georges Bada, les étudiants pourront désormais souffler un tout petit peu contre les lourdes tracasseries dans l'établissement de certains de leurs actes d'état civil.

ZÜRICH - Der Mobilfunkanbieter Salt baut sich einen Verwaltungsrat mit klingenden Namen. Mit dabei: Ex-Nestlé-Chef Peter Brabeck, Ex-Chefin des SBB Personenverkehrs Jeannine Pilloud und Mobilezone-Gründer Martin Lehmann.

Guten Nachrichten für die Nummer drei im Schweizer Mobilfunkmarkt Salt. Das Unternehmen angelt sich fünf illustre Verwaltungsratsmitglieder. Neu dabei ist unter anderem Peter Brabeck. Der Österreicher war langjähriger Chef und Verwaltungsratspräsident von Nestlé. Heute amtiert er als Vizepräsident des Stiftungsrats des World Economic Forum (WEF). 

Ein weiterer Neuzugang ist Robert-Philippe Bloch, der vor allem in der Waadt kein unbeschriebenes Blatt ist. Er amtiert steht seit 2010 als Präsident dem Waadtländischen Bankenverbands vor und war Executive Vice President bei der Bank Lombard Odier & Cie.

Kein Schoggi-Job

Noch mehr Power aus dem Finanzsektor kommt von Jacques de Saussure. Er war bis Juni 2016 Senior Managing Partner bei Pictet Group. Aktuell sitzt er als Vizepräsident im Verwaltungsrat der Bank Pictet & Cie SA.

Als Kenner des Schweizer Mobilfunkmarkts nimmt Martin Lehmann Einsitz im Verwaltungsrat von Salt. Er ist Mitbegründer von Mobilezone, wo er bis 2014 als CEO tätig war. Zurzeit ist er Managing Director beim Schweizer Chocolatier Läderach.

Komplettiert wird das männliche Quartett von Jeannine Pilloud. Sie führte mehrere Jahre lang die Division Personenverkehr der SBB und vertritt derzeit die Bundesbahnen in einem Ausschuss zur Entwicklung der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel.

«Ausgewiesene und erfahrene Persönlichkeiten»

Eigentümer und Verwaltungsratspräsident Xavier Niel jubiliert: «Ich bin äusserst erfreut darüber, dass eine Gruppe solch ausgewiesener und erfahrener Persönlichkeiten dem Verwaltungsrat von Salt beitritt.» Er sei überzeugt, dass der Beitrag der neuen Verwaltungsratsmitglieder zur und Strategie und Betrieb schnell Früchte tragen werde.

Das ist auch bitter nötig. Denn die Geschäfte von Salt laufen – gelinde gesagt – harzig: So sagte anfang Jahr der Kabelnetzbetreiber UPC Adieu. UPC wechselt für sein Mobilfunkangebot den Netzbetreiber und setzt ab 2019 auf Swisscom – eine massive Schlappe für Salt.

Und Ende November zog Niel selbst 452 Millionen Franken aus dem Unternehmen ab. Was der 50-jährige französische Multimilliardär, der in Frankreich als Hightech-Guru gefeiert wird, will, weiss niemand so genau. Klar ist: Salt steht auf finanziell wackligen Füssen.

Momentan ist Salt wegen seinem Glasfaser-Angebot in den Schlagzeilen. Das ist zwar unschlagbar günstig und schnell - beim Kundendienst gibts es aber massiv Probleme (BLICK berichtete).

En marge de la Conférence internationale sur l'accès aux médicaments de qualité en Afrique francophone qui se tient à Genève depuis mardi 22 mai 2018, le président de la République du Bénin, Patrice Talon a adressé son message à la communauté internationale. Il interpelle sur la guerre contre les faux médicaments et la discrimination dans la commercialisation en Afrique de certains médicaments interdits dans les pays développés.
« La cause qui nous réunit ce jour en cette conférence est d'un paradoxe incroyable, si l'on convient qu'un produit destiné à soulager, à guérir et à sauver la vie ne peut être que de qualité », annonce-t-il. Il estime qu'un « médicament ne devrait faillir que par erreur ou ignorance humaine ». Pour le chef de l'Etat « l'homme ne pouvait en toute conscience, commercialiser un poison pour un médicament ». Il fait savoir à l'opinion internationale que « en nos temps (...) des produits fabriqués et commercialisés comme médicaments ne sont destinés ni à soulager, ni à guérir, si ce n'est exclusivement pour enrichir illégitimement et illicitement leurs auteurs ». Le président de la République souligne que « le grand malheur est que ces pseudo médicaments tuent en masse, compromettent l'efficacité des médicaments de qualité et ciblent sans pitié les plus pauvres ». Il faut donc mettre un terme aux produits qui au lieu de guérir deviennent des nids de production d'autres microbes. « Le fléau des faux médicaments est l'un des défis majeurs de notre génération, toute nations confondues, parce qu'à terme, si rien n'est fait, les maladies et les microbes invaincus et aguerris dans les milieux pauvres ne manqueront pas de sévir partout dans le monde », prévient Patrice Talon. Interpellant la conscience de tous, il pense que « la réflexion à laquelle nous invite la présente rencontre est un impératif ». Selon lui, « trouver coûte que coûte les voies et les moyens pour un meilleur accès aux médicaments et aux produits médicaux de qualité dans les pays en développement, notamment africains est désormais une urgence car, malgré les mesures conventionnelles internationales, le fléau du faux médicaments continue de faire des ravages au sein des populations pauvres en s'intensifiant ».
Les difficultés n'ont cessé d'accroître depuis le déclenchement de cette lutte au regard du circuit de trafic de ces produits. « Plus d'une décennie après ''l'Appel de Cotonou'' pour la lutte contre ce fléau, le trafic des médicaments et produits contrefaits ne s'est pas essoufflé sur le continent africain, bien au contraire ; ceci à la faveur d'une meilleure organisation des réseaux criminels spécialisés et le coût souvent trop élevé, il faut le reconnaître, des produits de qualité », déplore M. Talon.

Des réflexions aux actions

La présente conférence est une occasion privilégiée selon le président de la République du Bénin pour parvenir à l'adoption de mesures concrètes permettant enfin d'inverser la tendance. Il pense que l'Appel dit de Cotonou n'était pas chose de hasard mais « c'est parce que la capitale économique de mon pays le Bénin figurait, en raison de sa situation géographique favorable, sur la liste des plateformes répertoriées dans le trafic de faux médicaments ». L'engagement des gouvernants cette fois-ci après quelques années de léthargie donne ses fruits. « S'il est malheureusement établi que malgré le choix de Cotonou pour le lancement solennel de la lutte en Afrique, le Bénin n'a pu faire grand-chose jusqu'en 2016, il convient aujourd'hui de signaler que depuis bientôt deux ans, mon pays s'est courageusement engagé dans l'éradication des circuits illicites de distribution de médicaments par une lutte implacable contre les trafiquants à qui notre arsenal d'investigation, de contrôles, de saisies, de condamnation des concernés et de destruction systématique des produits illicites ne laisse plus aucun répit », explique Patrice Talon à la communauté internationale. Il reste confiant de la réussite de cette lutte implacable lancée par son gouvernement. « La guerre que nous menons est loin d'être gagnée, mais je peux vous assurer que nous avons déjà remporté de grandes victoires qui nous encouragent à aller beaucoup plus loin », se réjouit-il. C'est alors que des mesures sont prises pour remédier au déficit créer par cette lutte. Ainsi donc « le gouvernement du Bénin a entrepris de réformer tout le secteur des médicaments et de procéder aux investissements nécessaires en vue de garantir la qualité des produits entrant sur son territoire ». Il souligne que « le prix à payer est énorme, mais notre détermination est irréversible et c'est tout le sens de ma présence ici parmi vous ». Le chef de l'Etat invite à la création d'un cadre plus large pour cette lutte qui ne peut être exclusivement celle du Bénin. « Je n'ai ni la prétention, ni l'illusion de croire que le Bénin, dans une démarche solitaire, gagnera cette guerre car la lutte contre les faux médicaments est une lutte qui déborde largement nos cadres nationaux et qui doit s'inscrire dans une coopération internationale proactive en matière d'information, de renseignement, d'expertise, de formation, d'investissement et de sincérité », insiste-t-il. Il pense qu'il est important que la lutte soit désormais « sincère à tout point de vue et que les grands laboratoires cessent de développer des chaînes de production exclusivement dédiées aux pays pauvres » puisqu'une telle discrimination est selon lui « immorale, viole l'éthique, côtoie pour le moins l'illicite et fragilise dans tous les cas notre lutte ». « Est-il d'ailleurs possible que dans un même pays, il y ait des médicaments produits pour les pauvres exclusivement et non recommandés pour les riches ? Pourquoi est-il permis qu'au plan international, certaines productions soient dédiées exclusivement aux pays pauvres et interdites de vente dans les pays développés ?', se questionne-t-il. Confiant que la présente conférence soit un cadre qui incite à « des échanges francs débouchant sur des recommandations concrètes et susceptibles d'efficacité afin qu'il ne s'agisse pas simplement d'une conférence de plus », Patrice Talon pense qu' « au terme de nos travaux des actions concrètes seront programmées pour la suite ».

Kirchenskandal im Kanton Graubünden: Bischof Vitus Huonder zeigt den Priester von Sedrun an. Dieser soll eine Frau belästigt haben. Erst seit März 2017 arbeitete der Priester als Pfarradministrator in Sedrun in der Gemeinde Tujetsch. Jetzt sitzt der Kirchenmann in U-Haft.

Der Bischof habe «nach einem Hinweis auf eine mutmasslich strafbare Handlung gegen die sexuelle Integrität einer erwachsenen Person» gehandelt, schreibt das Bistum auf seiner Homepage.

Erwachsene Frau sexuell belästigt

BLICK weiss: Beim Priester handelt es sich um den deutsch-nigerianischen Doppelbürger Nneka P.*, der seit März 2017 in Sedrun GR angesiedelt ist. Davor war er in Paderborn (Deutschland). In Bonn hat er Theologie studiert.

Der Priester soll eine erwachsene Frau sexuell belästigt haben. Sie habe den Vorfall dem Bischof gemeldet.

P. befindet sich seit letzter Woche in Untersuchungshaft, wie Bruno Ulmi Stuppani, Mediensprecher der Staatsanwaltschaft Graubünden, auf Anfrage erklärte. Bei der Anzeige des Bischofs von Chur geht es um «Vorwürfe aus dem Sexualstrafbereich». Für den Verhafteten gilt die Unschuldsvermutung.

Eine langjährige, enge Vertraute aus Nnekas Gebetskreis in Deutschland sagt unter Tränen zu BLICK: «Ich bin schockiert, ich bin sprachlos. Das geht mir ans Herz. Ich kenne ihn gut. Wir haben in Deutschland intensiv zusammen gearbeitet. Und auch jetzt, wo er in der Schweiz ist, pflegen wir eine enge Zusammenarbeit. Er ist ein wunderbarer katholischer Priester. Ich schätze ihn sehr. Ich kann kein schlechtes Wort über ihn sagen. Ich bin überzeugt, die Vorwürfe gegen ihn sind falsch. Jemand möchte aus irgendeinem Grund seinen Ruf zerstören. Für mich ist es unvorstellbar, dass er jemand sexuell belästigt haben soll. Diese Anschuldigung ist meiner Meinung nach ein Angriff auf die Priester und die katholische Kirche.»

«Keine negativen Erfahrungen mit ihm»

In Sedrun sind die Gläubigen verunsichert. Ein Kirchengänger sagt zu BLICK: «Wir erfuhren in der Kirche an der Pfingst-Messe, dass unser Pfarrer nicht mehr für uns da sein darf. Wir kamen uns wie im falschen Film vor. Das kam total überraschend.» Statt Nneka P. hielt der Pater von Disentis die Predigt. «Wir fragten uns, ist unser Pfarrer etwa in den Ferien?» Am Ende las der Ersatz-Pater eine kurze Mitteilung vom Bischof vor. Es hiess aber nur, es gäbe ein Problem mit dem Pfarrer. Und er sei per sofort freigestellt. Man habe einfach die Anweisung von oben bekommen, den Mann zu entlassen. «Der Pfarrer war kompetent und beliebt. Er hatte keine Feinde im Dorf», sagt der Kirchengänger. «Es gibt keine negativen Erfahrungen mit ihm. Er ist eher liberal in der Gesinnung. Und ein offener Diskussionspartner in Sachen Theologie.» Die Leitung der Kirchgemeinde hatte bisher keine Ahnung, warum der Administrator der Pfarrei verhaftet wurde.

«Das war wie ein Schlag vor den Kopf»

Eine andere Dorfbewohnerin meint jedoch: «Er ist ein komischer Typ. Man verstand ihn kaum, wenn er predigte, da er immer wieder auf Nigerianisch sprach. Für uns Menschen aus Sedrun ist es eine traurige Sache. Vor allem die alten Leute vertrauten dem Pfarrer. Jetzt wurden sie vom Pfarrer hintergangen. Sedrun muss sich schämen – sofern die Anschuldigungen wahr sind.»

Die Leitung der Kirchgemeinde hatte bisher keine Ahnung, warum der Administrator der Pfarrei verhaftet wurde. BLICK weiss, dass die einzige Frau im Leben des Pfarrers eine Deutsche mit einem Kind ist. Sie habe ihn gelegentlich im Pfarrhaus besucht. Ob sie ihn angezeigt hatte, weiss man im Dorf nicht.

Die Verhaftung des Priesters kam für die Kirchgemeinde offenbar überraschend, wie Arthur Caduff, Präsident der Pfarrei Tujetsch**, zur Zeitung «Südostschweiz» sagte. «Das war wie ein Schlag vor den Kopf. Wir wissen gar nichts», wird Caduff von der Zeitung zitiert. (nl/mcb/man)

Data is a central but underestimated prerequisite for the realisation of the 2030 Agenda. Although technical innovations such as smartphones or the internet of things have led to a data explosion in recent years, there are still considerable gaps in the availability and use of data in developing countries and development cooperation (DC) in particular. So far it is not possible to report regularly on the majority of the 230 indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Already in 2014 an independent panel of experts, called for nothing less than a data revolution to support the implementation of the SDGs in their 2014 report to the UN Secretary-General, A World that Counts. Data is one of the key requirements for planning, managing and evaluating development projects and strategies. The aim of the data revolution for sustainable development is 1) to close data gaps with the aid of new technologies and additional resources, 2) to strengthen global data literacy, promote data use and enable equality of access, 3) to create a “data ecosystem” that follows global standards in order to improve data quality, enable data aggregation and prevent abuse.
The data revolution for sustainable development is a challenge for all countries. There is a lot of room for improvement in both partner countries and all areas of German policy making. This paper focuses on German DC.
Overall, the subject of data has to date received little attention in the organisations of German DC and their projects. The demand for evidence- and data-based work is often limited to evaluation.
A results framework to support portfolio management in German DC does not exist. Monitoring at project level is often not sufficient, as data quality is frequently poor and capacity is lacking. In the partner countries the implementing organisations (IOs) often introduce parallel structures for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) in order to keep track of the measures implemented, instead of using and strengthening national statistical systems as much as possible. Collected data and project progress reports are usually not published.
The following recommendations can be derived from the analysis:

• German DC should agree on common data standards and principles for data use, such as Open Data by Default. At the same time, personal rights should also be ensured.
• The Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) should work with all German DC actors (other ministries, IOs, non-state actors) to develop a data strategy that takes into account the different data sources and types, builds upon common standards and principles and aims to promote a data culture in all areas of German DC.
• At international level the German government should take an active role in the realisation and further development of the Cape Town Global Action Plan for Sustainable Development Data.
• Germany should increase its financial contribution to the development of data and statistics in partner countries, stop the use of parallel M&E systems in the medium term and promote the support of national statistical systems in all DC measures.

In a departure from norms for the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, MoCCAE, hosted an upcycled food iftar utilising food that would have otherwise been wasted if it was not consumed during this event for high-level public and private sector officials.

The iftar was held in partnership with food tech company, Winnow, and leading UAE-based global property developer, Emaar.

The creative healthy and tasty iftar dishes, for example, featured underutilised cuts of meat and overripe fruits, sending out a powerful message to local and global communities to prioritise judicious food consumption and eliminate food wastage.

One-third of the food produced in the world for human consumption every year approximately 1.3 billion tonnes is either lost or wasted. In the UAE, food wastage costs the national economy around AED13 billion annually.
Highlighting the idea behind the unique event, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, pointed out that the Food and Agriculture Organisation, FAO, of the United Nations reported that roughly one-third of the food produced in the world for human consumption every year approximately 1.3 billion tonnes is either lost or wasted. In the UAE, food wastage costs the national economy around AED13 billion annually.

Dr. Al Zeyoudi said, “Today, I am pleased to reaffirm the UAE’s commitment to meeting the global target to reduce food loss and waste by 50 percent by 2030 as per the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 12 that underscores sustainable consumption and production. As part of this priority, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment is working closely with local authorities and the private sector to reduce food loss through the production and consumption cycle.

“I am also pleased to announce that UAE-based hospitality companies are ready to take on the challenge to reduce food waste and are pledging tonight to save one million meals by end-2018. This target will be increased to two million meals in 2019 and three million meals in 2020. Companies that are already onboard this noble mission include Emaar, Majid Al Futtaim and Rotana. I invite others ready to participate in this pledge to sign-up throughout this evening and beyond.”

Szeptember 1-ig lezárja a vizsgálatok egyik részét, ha addig meghallgathatja Donald Trump elnököt a 2016-os amerikai elnökválasztásba történt állítólagos orosz beavatkozást vizsgáló különleges bizottság vezetője, Robert Mueller – vélekedett vasárnap Rudy Giuliani, az amerikai elnök jogászcsapatának tagja.

Giuliani a The New York Times című napilapnak és a CNN hírtelevíziónak is azt nyilatkozta, hogy Mueller irodája körülbelül két héttel ezelőtt megerősítette neki: amennyiben Trump hajlandó a vizsgálóbizottság kérdéseire válaszolni, akkor szeptember 1-ig lezárják a vizsgálatnak azt a részét, amely arra vonatkozik, hogy Trump akadályozta-e az igazságszolgáltatást a vélelmezett orosz beavatkozás kiderítésében.

Mueller irodája nem kívánta kommentálni Giuliani kijelentéseit

A The New York Times című lap ezzel kapcsolatban kiemelte: az igazságszolgáltatás esetleges akadályozására vonatkozó vizsgálat lezárása nem jelenti egyúttal a Mueller-bizottság vizsgálatának teljes befejezését is.

A CNN-nek adott interjújában Giuliani leszögezte azt is: Trump mindaddig biztosan nem ül le a vizsgálóbizottság tagjaival, amíg nem kapja meg a választási kampánycsapatába állítólag beépített FBI-ügynökkel kapcsolatos valamennyi bizalmas információt.

Az elnök vasárnap Twitter-bejegyzésben bejelentette, hogy felkérte – és hétfőn hivatalosan is felkéri – az igazságügyi minisztériumot annak kivizsgálására, hogy az Obama-kormányzat valóban beépítette-e a Szövetségi Nyomozó Iroda (FBI) egyik ügynökét a 2016-os elnökválasztási kampány idején a kampánycsapatába.

Giuliani a The New York Timesnak kifejtette: a Mueller vezette bizottság elhúzódó vizsgálata befolyásolhatja az ősszel sorra kerülő, úgynevezett félidős választásokat, amikor teljes egészében újraválasztják a 435 tagú képviselőházat, és a száztagú szenátus majdnem harmadát (a voksolás a száztagú szenátus 35 tagját érinti).

ZÜRICH - Die Ferienwohnungsmärkte in den Schweizer Alpen haben sich im letzten Jahr erneut schwächer entwickelt als diejenigen in Österreich und Frankreich. Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt die UBS in einer Untersuchung der 24 Top-Ferienorte im Alpenraum.

Dennoch zeige der Ferienwohnungsmarkt im Schweizer Alpenraum Anzeichen einer Erholung. Denn nach einer längeren Korrekturphase seien die Preise für Ferienwohnungen im Schweizer Alpenraum wieder um 1,1 Prozent gestiegen, teilte die UBS am Mittwoch mit.

Die Preisentwicklung hinke allerdings derjenigen Österreichs mit plus 5 Prozent und Frankreichs (+3 Prozent) hinterher. Die Leerstandsquote in der Schweiz habe sich mit 3,3 Prozent stabil entwickelt.

 

Die Destination Engadin/St. Moritz belegt mit einem Preisniveau von 15'400 Franken pro Quadratmeter nach wie vor den ersten Rang unter den alpinen Feriendestinationen, gefolgt von Gstaad (14'300 Franken). Die Walliser Destination Verbier ist dagegen mit 12'300 Franken pro Quadratmeter Wohnfläche um drei Plätze auf den sechsten Rang zurückgefallen.

Stolze Preise auch in Courchevel

Eine Ferienwohnung mit 80 Quadratmetern Wohnfläche unter einer halben Million Franken lässt sich in der Schweiz bloss an Nischenstandorten wie Evolène, Leukerbad oder Disentis/Mustér finden, resümiert die UBS.

Ausserhalb der Schweiz ist das französische Courchevel mit Preisen über 13'400 Franken pro Quadratmeter die drittteuerste Destination im Alpenraum, vor St. Anton am Arlberg und Kitzbühel iin Österreich. In der teuersten italienischen Destination, Cortina d'Ampezzo, müssen durchschnittlich 10'700 Franken pro Quadratmeter hingeblättert werden.

Die UBS rechnet auch im laufenden Jahr mit leicht steigenden Preisen für Zweitwohnungen im Schweizer Alpenraum. Als Haupttreiber werden der schwächere Franken und die gut laufende Konjunktur angeführt, was die in- und ausländische Nachfrage stärken werde.

Tiefe Renditen

Sharing-Economy-Angebote wie Airbnb sind derweil nach Einschätzung der Grossbank für Vermieter im Alpenraum nur bedingt attraktiv. Überdurchschnittliche Mieteinnahmen liessen sich nur an Standorten mit besonderer touristischer Anziehungskraft sowie während der Winter-Hauptsaison erzielen. Und die erzielbaren Renditen seien tiefer und volatiler als im Durchschnitt der grössten Schweizer Städte. (zas/sda)
