La ministre de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique dans un communiqué en date du mardi 25 septembre 2018, annonce la sélection d'une deuxième vague de 100 assistants. Ces derniers sont répartis dans 04 Universités du Bénin.
100 assistants seront sélectionnés et répartis dans les universités du Bénin. Ceci dans le cadre du renforcement des capacités des Universités nationales du Bénin en enseignants de qualité et conformément à la nouvelle procédure de sélection pour le recrutement du personnel enseignent.
Ces 100 assistants sont répartis comme suit : 40 au profit de l'Université d'Abomey-Calavi, 35 pour le compte de l'Université de Parakou, 10 et 15 respectivement pour l'Université Nationale d'Agriculture et l'Université Nationale des Sciences, Technologies, Ingénierie et Mathématiques.
Du lundi 1er au vendredi 19 octobre au plus tard, le dossier de candidature doit être déposé tous les jours ouvrables au Secrétariat du Comité Scientifique Sectoriel de l'Institut, de la Faculté ou de l'Ecole concernés.

Am Samstag wurde ein Teenager am Bahnhof Luzern verprügelt und ausgeraubt. Einen Täter hat die Polizei gefasst – der Zweite ist noch auf der Flucht.

Die Luzerner Polizei hat am Samstagabend in der Stadt Luzern einen 16-jährigen Eritreer festgenommen. Der Mann hatte zuvor mit einem Komplizen am Bahnhof in der Stadt Luzern einen Jugendlichen zusammengeschlagen und ihn bestohlen, teilt die Polizei mit.

Der Vorfall ereignete sich am Samstag um 19.00 Uhr am Bahnhof in der Stadt Luzern. Zwei Täter haben einen Jugendlichen auf dem Perron ins Gesicht geschlagen, ihn zu Boden gedrückt und ihn verletzt. Danach klauten sie ihm seine Jacke und Schuhe und machten sich aus dem Staub. 

Die Luzerner Polizei konnte einen der Täter direkt am Bahnhof festnehmen. Es handelt sich um einen 16-jährigen Mann aus Eritrea (C-Status). Bei ihm konnte die Polizei zudem Betäubungsmittel sicherstellen.

Der zweite Täter ist noch immer flüchtig. Sein Signalement:

- ca 180 cm gross
- schlanke Statur
- dunkelhäutig
- schwarz gekrauste Haare
- schwarzer Kapuzenpullover mit goldenem Logo auf der Rückseite
- dunkle Jeanshose
- sprach Schweizerdeutsch

Italy's coalition government made up of the Five Star Movement and the League wants to add 27 billion euros to the public debt to finance the expansion of the welfare state. The referendum on the future name of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (Fyrom) has failed owing to low voter turnout. Since the vote wasn't binding the issue can now be presented to parliament for it to give its verdict. Commentators are still hopeful that the compromise negotiated with Athens will be successful.

Turkish President Erdoğan's three-day visit to Berlin and Cologne ended on the weekend. Despite harsh criticism from the German president and chancellor, Erdoğan concluded that the visit had been successful. It did not amount to a fresh start in relations between the two nations, some commentators say. Others call for the dialogue to continue.

The US Senate's Judiciary Committee heard the testimony of several women regarding allegations of sexual harassment against Republican Supreme Court candidate Brett Kavanaugh. The Committee then recommended Kavanaugh's nomination. The very fact that the hearings took place at all is already a success for the MeToo movement, some commentators stress. Others believe there is still too much tolerance for sexism in the US.
