The European Union expressed serious concern on the arrest and detention of human rights defenders and  calls on the Iranian authorities to release all individuals unjustly detained for exercising their fundamental rights, including freedom of expression and assembly.

A Tanács korlátozó intézkedéseket vezetett be további két olyan személlyel szemben, akiket felelősség terhel Oroszországban elkövetett súlyos emberi jogi jogsértésekért vagy visszaélésekért, valamint az oroszországi civil társadalom és demokratikus ellenzék elnyomásáért.

Tekintettel arra, hogy az Oroszországi Föderáció által az ukrajnai helyzet destabilizálása céljából végrehajtott tevékenységek folytatódnak, a Tanács további hat hónappal, 2026. július 31-ig meghosszabbította az EU által hozott ágazati korlátozó intézkedéseket.

A főképviselőnek az Európai Unió nevében tett nyilatkozata egyes harmadik országoknak a mali helyzetre tekintettel hozott korlátozó intézkedésekről szóló (KKBP) 2017/1775 határozat módosításáról szóló, 2025. december 1-jei (KKBP) 2025/2436 tanácsi határozathoz történő csatlakozásáról.

A főképviselőnek az Európai Unió nevében tett nyilatkozata egyes harmadik országoknak a Kongói Demokratikus Köztársaságban fennálló helyzetre tekintettel hozott korlátozó intézkedésekről szóló 2010/788/KKBP határozat módosításáról szóló, 2025. december 8-i (KKBP) 2025/2507 tanácsi határozathoz történő csatlakozásáról.

A főképviselőnek az Európai Unió nevében tett nyilatkozata egyes harmadik országoknak a súlyos emberi jogi jogsértések és visszaélések elleni korlátozó intézkedésekről szóló (KKBP) 2020/1999 határozat módosításáról szóló, 2025. december 4-i (KKBP) 2025/2469 tanácsi határozathoz történő csatlakozásáról.

A Tanács jóváhagyta a Kanadának a SAFE-ben való részvételéről szóló, a két fél közös védelmi együttműködésének megerősítése érdekében létrejött megállapodást.
