Az Európai Tanács a december 18-i ülésén következtetéseket fogadott el Ukrajnáról, a Közel-Keletről, az európai védelemről és biztonságról, a következő többéves pénzügyi keretről, a bővítésről és a reformokról, a migrációról, a geoökonómiáról és a versenyképességről, valamint egyéb kérdésekről.

Az Európai Parlament, a Tanács és a Bizottság a mai napon aláírta az EU 2026. évi jogalkotási prioritásairól szóló együttes nyilatkozatot.

A Tanács hivatalosan elfogadta az erdőirtásról szóló rendelet módosítását, amelynek célja a hatékony végrehajtás biztosítása céljából egyszerűsíteni a rendeletet és elhalasztani az alkalmazását.
