Spokespersons for Parliament and for the political groups will hold a briefing on Parliament’s 16-19 July constitutive session, this Friday 12th July at 11.00.
“Competitiveness, security & defence, and social equality are clear electoral messages for the EU’s programme”, said EP President Roberta Metsola to the European Council.
EP President Metsola emphasised the strongest commitment of the Parliament to ensuring the smooth running of the process leading to the election of the next Commission President.
As the election campaign ends, the "Use your vote" film, highlighting the importance of voting and safeguarding democracy, has been viewed more than 504 million times.
The EU institutions are playing their part in defending the European elections on 6-9 June against disinformation and information manipulation targeting European democracy.
Parliament’s press service will organise daily briefings for media, in physical presence and remotely, to provide information about the 6-9 June European elections.

The European elections will take place on 6 - 9 June. The first country to vote on 6 June is The Netherlands, and the final country to close its polls is Italy, at 23.00 CET on 9 June.
