The EU issued a declaration on the severe socioeconomic crisis in Lebanon calling likeminded partners in the international community to engage constructively in helping Lebanon to emerge from its crisis.

The Council adopted two decisions extending the mandate of the EU civilian advisory mission EUAM RCA, and the EU military training mission EUTM RCA.

The Council extends for one year, until 31 July 2023, the framework for targeted restrictive measures to address the situation in Lebanon.

The Council today decided to prolong by six months, until 31 January 2023, the restrictive measures first introduced on 31 July 2014 which target specific economic sectors of the Russian Federation.

Weekly schedule of President Charles Michel 25 – 31 July 2022

President Michel participated in the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, which was dedicated to the recovery and rebuilding of Ukraine. He emphasised the EU's specific efforts to support Ukraine and its people.

President Charles Michel and Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed valued their open and frank exchange and agreed to speak in the near future to take stock.
