Charles Michel elnök rendkívüli ülésre hívta meg az Európai Tanács tagjait. A megbeszélések fő témái Ukrajna és Oroszország, a gazdaság, valamint a migráció lesznek.

A svéd elnökség úgy határozott, hogy aktiválja az integrált válságelhárítási mechanizmust (IPCR), hogy annak keretében – az Európai Bizottsággal szoros együttműködésben – koordinálni tudja az uniós támogatási intézkedéseket.
