Vietnam adopted a new constitution in 2013 and in 2015 the National Assembly passed new laws on the Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Law on Custody and Detention and Law on investigative bodies. However, their application has been postponed.
The Delegation will also raise the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and the human rights impact assessment with the Vietnamese authorities.
