A meeting took place in Tashkent between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and European Council President Charles Michel. They reaffirmed that in recent years the relations between Uzbekistan and the European Union have been elevated to a qualitatively new level.

The third CELAC-EU Foreign Ministers' Meeting took place in Buenos Aires on 27 October 2022, with the theme "Renewing the bi-regional partnership to strengthen peace and sustainable development".

A Tanács és az Európai Parlament ideiglenes politikai megállapodásra jutott az új személygépkocsikra és könnyű haszonjárművekre vonatkozó szigorúbb szén-dioxid-kibocsátási előírásokról. A hivatalos elfogadásig a társjogalkotók megállapodtak abban, hogy a 2030-ra teljesítendő szén-dioxid-kibocsátáscsökkentési célérték az új személygépkocsik számára a 2021-es szinthez képest 55%, az új könnyű haszonjárművek tekintetében pedig 50% lesz, továbbá abban, hogy 2035-re vonatkozóan mind az új személygépkocsik, mind az új könnyű haszonjárművek tekintetében 100%-os szén-dioxid-kibocsátáscsökkentési célértéket vezetnek be.

President Michel attended the first regional high-level meeting, held in Astana, together with the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to working together for peace and security and stressed the importance of cooperation on sustainable connectivity.

During his first visit to Kazakhstan, President Michel held a joint press conference with President Tokayev highlighting their wide-ranging discussion on the common challenges at this critical juncture.

European Council President Charles Michel and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met in Astana where they confirmed the high level and dynamic development of relations between Kazakhstan and the EU over the past 30 years. They agreed to further strengthen, deepen and expand the Kazakh-EU multifaceted cooperation.

A főképviselőnek az Európai Unió nevében tett nyilatkozata egyes harmadik országoknak az Ukrajna területi integritását, szuverenitását és függetlenségét aláásó vagy fenyegető intézkedések miatti korlátozó intézkedésekről szóló 2014/145/KKBP határozat módosításáról szóló, 2022. október 20-i (KKBP) 2022/1986 tanácsi határozathoz történő csatlakozásáról.

The EU has reviewed its restrictive measures in view of the situation in Burundi, renewed the sanctions regime for one year, and delisted three individuals.

A Tanács a mai napon megállapodásra jutott (általános megközelítést ért el) az épületek energiahatékonyságáról szóló irányelv felülvizsgálatára irányuló javaslatról. A felülvizsgálat fő célkitűzése, hogy 2030-ra minden új épület kibocsátásmentes épület legyen, 2050-re pedig a meglévő épületeket kibocsátásmentes épületekké alakítsák át.

A Tanács következtetéseket hagyott jóvá, amelyek az ENSZ 2022. novemberi, az egyiptomi Sarm-es-Sejkben tartandó 27. éghajlatváltozási konferenciájára (COP27) vonatkozó általános uniós tárgyalási megbízásként szolgálnak majd.

Az EU egyablakos vámügyintézési környezetet alakított ki, amely megkönnyíti a nemzetközi kereskedelmet, lerövidíti a vámkezelési időt és csökkenti a csalás kockázatát.

The Council today approved conclusions in view of the conference of parties for the United Nations Biodiversity summit to be held in Montreal, Canada, from 7 to 19 December 2022. The conclusions will serve as the EU’s general negotiating position in the meeting.

Call by parliamentarians for the immediate signature and entry into force of the Post Cotonou agreement.
